Postdoctoral Researcher (Ref Postdoc 2022-18 CB)

The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher. This position will be funded by ICIQ.

ICIQ is committed to performing excellent research at the frontier of knowledge in the broad area of chemistry (Catalysis, Artificial Photosynthesis, Activation of Small Molecules, Photovoltaics, Functional Molecular Assemblies and Chemical Biology, from either theoretical or experimental perspectives). ICIQ is looking for Post-doctoral researcher to undertake research tasks in the group of Prof. Carles Bo on the multiscale computational modelling of molecular metal oxides and their assemblies in solution.

Responsibilities

• We are looking for a person with a solid background in theoretical chemistry who has performed high-level quantum chemistry studies and MD simulations applying density functional theory, and who has a detailed insight into atomic-scale modelling.
• The candidate will develop and apply protocols for MD simulations in hybrid organic/inorganic systems and for catalytic processes.
