IRB Barcelona seeks Postdoctoral Resarcher to work in the Colorectal Cancer Laboratory (Dr. Eduard Batlle) at the Cancer Science Programme. The successful candidate will be employed under a fixed – term contract to cover a 6 months project (July-December 2019) with possibility of extension depending on the development of the project. The project aims to characterize the therapeutic potential of bispecific antibodies for colorectal cancer treatment.

 


DUTIES


  • To perform Cell Culture of tumor Organoids and Cancer Cell Lines
  • To perform PCR analysis as quality control of cell culture samples
  • To perform qrt-PCR analysis to assess gene expression
  • To perform cell growth assays, transient transfections, reporter assays and FACs analysis
  • To perform “in vivo” treatment experiments
  • To promote the flow of information by establishing, utilizing, and maintaining an effective communication within and outside the laboratory.
  • To keep high quality standards.

Must Have – Required


  • Official Accreditation to perform Animal Experimentation

 

  • Experience: Doctoral degree. Proven experience in a similar position is a must.

 

  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of cell culture techniques and cell culture assays (transient transfection, growth assays, FACS). Molecular Biology Skills (PCR; cloning; growing plasmids)

 

  • Skills: The candidate should have high organization capacity and should be a tidy, service-oriented person willing to learn.

 

  • Languages: English (fluent).
