The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. The role

We are looking for a highly motivated research scientist with consolidated expertise in the area mouse embryo development. The ideal candidate will have experience with mouse models including the ability to manipulate and analyze early mouse embryos. In addition, the ideal candidate should have experience in cell and molecular biology.

About the lab

Pia Cosma’s group is focused on the study of the mechanisms that control somatic cell reprogramming and tissue regeneration, with a focus on dissecting out the function of the Wnt signaling pathway (http://www.crg.eu/en/maria_pia_cosma http://piacosmalab.com/ ). The group uses state of the art approaches to identify mechanisms of retinal regeneration and its translation to medical application. In addition to use mouse models, the group is also focused on the use of human retinal explants and human organoids as model systems.

• You have consolidated experience in mouse development
• You have proven experience with mouse models, cell culture, retinal organoids
• You have experience in cell biology, molecular biology, statistics

Education and training

• You hold a Phd in Biomedicine or related disciplines

The Offer – Working Conditions

• Contract duration: 6 months.
• Estimated annual gross salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales.
