Esade Business School - Ramon Llull University in Barcelona is seeking applications for a postdoctoral research position. The successful candidate will join the Esade Research Group for Leadership and Innovation in Public Management (GLIGP) and will work closely with the Principal Investigators Dr Angel Saz and Dr Marc Esteve.
A researcher position is requested to join a team investigating neighbourhoods, solidarity and the housing crisis in Spain at the Esade Insitute for Social Innovation, together with Professor Ignasi Martí (and director of the ISI). Some research is already underway and new project proposals are being considered. Ethnographers are particularly welcome.
The project analyzes the sectors in which firms hire former public officials and what is the performance of such firms. We will look at European states in a comparative way and explore whether there are differences between the phenomenon of revolving doors within Europe, and what may be the reasons for such differences.
The main tasks to be performed by the postdoctoral researcher are related to:
• Literature analysis in reference to machine learning systems that work with linguistic information.
• Definition of a frame of reference capable of incorporating qualitative perceptions of different humans.
• Application of the results to three practical cases related to human opinions on social networks.
• Support in writing scientific articles.
