Job position

Postdoctoral researcher for HE-ERC Synergy project MEDGREENREV Re-thinking the Green revolution in the Medieval Western Mediterranean (6th-16th centuries).

Tasks:

• Participation in archaeological excavations where there are burials

• Funerary archeology studies

• Study of the human remains from these excavations and from collections already excavated.

Job position requirements (skills/languages/required experience)

• PhD- mandatory (will be positively evaluated Degree in History or Archeology + Master degree in Physical anthropology and PhD in Physical anthropology)

• Languages: English (fluent) + Catalan or Spanish.

• Working experience (will be positively evaluated): Experience in archaeological excavation of human remains.

• Computer skills: (will be positively evaluated): Statistics and data management programs

• Other:

- stays in research centers

- publications related to the subject of research

- Experience in studying sets of human remains from late antiquity, medieval or al-Andalus.

Benefits

2 year contract (34.200€ salary x year)

37,5h working hours x week

30 days holidays x year.

Eligibility criteria

• Academic record: 40 points

Degree in History or Archaeology: 5p; Master in anthropology physics: 5p; PhD in physical anthropology specialty: 30p

• Working experience in archaeological excavation of human remains: 30 points

• Computing : 10 points

• Languages: 10 points

• Other merits: 10 points

Selection process:

1st - curricular phase

2nd- online interview: for those candidates obtaining over 60 points on the curricular phase.
