Postdoctoral Researcher Position at the CBGP (UPM-INIA/CSIC)
(CBGP-Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence Research Programme)
- Project Title: Understanding how important pest and viral diseases will evolve in the context of climate change
- Position Reference: PLANTADAPT_02_CLIMATEPLANT-PEST-VIRUSINTERACT
We aim at understanding how plants will respond to important agronomic diseases in the context of global warming, paying special attention to the changes associated to translational and co-translational processes. In this context, the candidate will perform the following tasks:
- Phenotypic and molecular analyses of model plants and of agronomic interesting species to abiotic and biotic stresses. Stress conditions include: heat stress, spider mite infestation and virus infection
- Protein-protein interaction analyses including immunoprecipitation in plant
- Analysis of gene expression by RNAseq, qRT-PCR
- Genome wide translatome analyses and studies of de novo protein synthesis
- Protein stability assays
- Proteome analysis
Gene characterization: analyses of mutant lines, use of reporter lines, generation and analyses of genetic crosses
