Postdoctoral researcher

Job position requirements (skills/languages/required experience)

The researcher will join the project " ExoSens-PoC. Enhancing tests for the early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.PDC2022- 133363-I00. Proyectos de Prueba de Concepto 2022" with which it is hoped to design and produce a ELISA-like test with electrochemical readout that quantitatively measures the two biomarkers in neuron derived exosomes with best predictive performance for risk stratifying and predicting Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) when compared to the gold standard. It is expected to perform a validation with retrospective samples of biological fluids as with samples generated in our laboratory (spiked with the recombinant proteins). The design of experiments to measure levels of exosomes in human fluids (blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, etc...) using ELISA and similar tests will be required, as well as the interpretation of the results. Commercial recombinant proteins and the corresponding antibodies will be used.

Therefore, the following skills and required experience are advisable:

- Ability to analyze bibliographic data and the results obtained in order to design new experiments,

- Data and results processing capabilities

- Experience in laboratory analytical measurements such as ELISA and electrochemical and similar techniques,

- Experience working with biological samples, biomarkers and antibodies, and

- Good communication skills in both oral and written English

Benefits

34.981,56 € gross per year.
