Project to develop and exploit non-equilibrium mesoscocpic computational models to analyze the  capillary dynamics of fluid fronts in nanodevices. The project will focus on the use of thermodynamic gradients to manipulate liquid fronts. The study will analyze both the role of wetting in the stability of liquid fronts over a wide variety of solid substrates and the  use of such instabilities to produce droplets and other liquid morphologies.
