The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Mechanical Workshop Technician to work in the Reaction Technologies Department.

ICIQ is committed to performing excellent research at the frontier of knowledge in the broad area of chemistry (Catalysis, Artificial Photosynthesis, Activation of Small Molecules, Photovoltaics, Functional Molecular Assemblies and Chemical Biology, from either theoretical or experimental perspectives). The candidate will work in the Mechanical Workshop of the Reaction Technologies Department at ICIQ.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Design of new pieces and setups using Solid Works software
  • Test materials and develop conditions in the 3Dprinting machines
  • Fabricate new pieces using both techniques: additive fabrication & mechanization
  • Small laboratory equipment repairs
  • Help in the organization of the workshop
