Offer Description

Management of Industrial and Intellectual Property

  • Identifying and evaluating research results with innovative potential.
  • Advising research staff on strategies for protecting research results.
  • Management of patents, utility models, trademarks, software, and copyrights.
  • Monitoring deadlines, extensions, and the maintenance of rights.
  • Development of commercialization plans and roadmaps for technology maturation.
  • Coordination with patent attorneys and external consultants.
  • Support with regulatory requirements for conducting clinical research, such as obtaining authorizations from the relevant authorities on a case-by-case basis.

     

 Contracts and legal support for innovation

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating:
  • Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
  • Collaborative R&D contracts.
  • Material transfer agreements (MTA).
  • Data transfer agreements (MDTA, DTA).
  • License agreements.
  • Co-development agreements.
  • Co-ownership agreements.
  • Contracts with biotech, medtech, and pharma companies.
  • Support for researchers in drafting, negotiating, and finalizing R&D&I agreements. 

     

Technology transfer

  • Management of the Institute’s technology portfolio.
  • Identification of technology transfer opportunities.
  • Negotiation of exploitation agreements.
  • Searching for and liaising with potential licensees.
  • Identifying industrial partners.
  • Support for the creation of business ventures and spin-offs.

     

 Governance and compliance in innovation

  • Review of internal procedures.
  • Advice on the commercialization of research results.
  • Monitoring the regulatory framework applicable to innovation, technology transfer, and intellectual property.
  • Organization of conferences or events to present R&D&I results, 
  • Participation in innovation platforms (ITEMAS and similar initiatives).
  • Development of activities to foster a culture of innovation.

Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in: Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Health Sciences, Law, or other related fields.

Specific training: Industrial and intellectual property; R&D&I contracting; Technology licensing; Software protection; Entrepreneurship.


Specific Requirements

Previous experience:

  • Experience in technology transfer, innovation, or managing research outcomes.
  • Experience in negotiating and reviewing R&D&I contracts.
  • Experience in managing industrial and intellectual property portfolios.
  • Experience in the commercialization and exploitation of research results.
  • Experience in business development and market research.
  • Experience in relations with companies, technology agents, or innovation ecosystems.
  • Experience in university settings, research institutes, OTRI/OTC, or technology transfer offices

Courses and/or specific training:

  • Industrial and intellectual property.
  • Healthcare innovation.
  • Technology transfer.
  • Regulation of medical devices (MDR).
  • Biomedical entrepreneurship.
  • Project management.

Other relevant academic achievements:

  • Previous experience in research results transfer offices.
  • Experience in preparing technology reports.
  • Knowledge of R&D&I funding.
  • Organization of science outreach activities.
  • Knowledge of computer tools: advanced user level (Excel, Office)
  • Master’s degree in Intellectual and Industrial Property / Master’s degree in Innovation and Technology Transfer / Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship or Innovation Management.
