Offer Description

PERTE of the New Economics of Language: NEL-NÓS Project: Galician in the society and economy of artificial intelligence.
Contract under a grant financed within the framework of Royal Decree 958/2022, of November 15, which regulates the direct granting of subsidies to several scientific centers to promote language technologies, within the framework of the PERTE New Economy of Language, the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, the Transformation and Resilience Recovery Plan and the European funds Next Generation EU.
Contract associated with the implementation of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
Design of strategies for textual data capture, and design of strategies for the configuration of language and translation models, Design of strategies for the adaptation/fine-tuning of language models to different tasks: translation, dialogue, etc., Designing strategies for the evaluation of language models and translation models, Coordination of teams of linguists and computer scientists for the implementation of language models and translation models, Supervision of the linguistic and computational infrastructure, platforms and repositories used in the Nós project.

Phd Computational Linguistics: 15 points
Master's degree in Linguistics and natural language processing: 10 points
Galician, CELGA level 4 or equivalent: 5 points
Portuguese, level B1 or equivalent: 5 points
English, level B1 or equivalent: 5 points
Accredited work experience in R&D&I activities with international, national or regional funding in Computational Linguistics, Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence and in the development of language technology applications.: 20 points
Creditable work experience in programming languages and system administration: 15 points
Personal interview. The interview will be held only for the candidates with the highest scores who, in the sum of the rest of the merits, obtain a minimum of 50 points.: 25 points

Benefits

Gross monthly salary: 2.219,74 € The special payments shall be prorated over 12 monthly instalments.
Duration of the contract: 21 months
Expected start date: The day following the resolution of the contract award
Workday    Full-time: (35.0 hours per week) 09:00-14:00 and 16:00-18:00 h.
