IRB Barcelona seeks to recruit a structural biologist to join the Structural Characterization of Macromolecular Assemblies laboratory (Dr. Maria J. Macias, ICREA Professor).
The successful candidate will join our research team working in the project entitled Deciphering the interaction sites of Smad proteins with cofactors using high resolution structural biology, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, the Spanish Research State Agency and the European regional development fund (ERDF) (ref: BFU2017-82675-P). The project requires the expression and purification of proteins and the determination of the transcription factors structures bound to targets, including other proteins and small molecule binders. Starting date 01-10-2021.
DUTIES
- Expression and purification of proteins in mg scale and high purity
- NMR and X-ray analysis of the data corresponding to the proteins and complexes
