Laboratory Technician in Molecular Biology (ref. LAB/21/15)

IRB Barcelona is seeking a Lab Technician with experience in molecular biology to join the group of Dr. Cristina Mayor-Ruiz (Targeted Protein Degradation & Drug Discovery). The project will involve the study of degrader efficacy (PROTACs and beyond). Period: 6 months. Incorporation: 13/09/2021

DUTIES

• Characterization of protein degraders and other induced proximity-based molecules.
• Synergism studies.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & SELECTION CRITERIA

Must Have – Required

• Experience: Experience in molecular biology techniques (western blot, cell culture, PCR…)

• Knowledge: background in targeted protein degradation

• Skills: characterization of new compounds. Team-oriented and highly motivated mindset with capacity to conduct experiments and to record data. Good communication skills.

Desirable

• Experience: synthesis of biomolecules (e.g. peptides) is also a plus.

• Knowledge: chemical probe optimization.
