VHIR offers vacancy/vacant position for a manager of innovation in biobanking within the Rheumatology Service.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Education and qualifications:

Required:

  • PhD in the field of biosciences

Experience and knowledge:

Required:

  • Knowledge in Immunology field
  • Knowledge and experience in sample (fluids and tissues) collection, processing, storage, and analysis
  • Experience in basic methods in cellular and molecular biology
  • Experience in designing and setting up operational procedures
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Good computer skills, basic knowledge in bioinformatics and statistical analysis

Main responsibilities and duties:

  • Innovation research, protocol development and implementation on sample collection and sample processing methods, mainly related to cutting-edge omic-based approaches
  • Benchmarking on biobanking procedures and workflows
  • Setting up of new operational procedures in the biobank directory
  • Support in preparing the technical and administrative reports
  • Support in biobank day-to-day workflow tasks

Labour conditions:

  • Full-time position: 40h/week.
  • Starting date: September 2022
  • Gross annual salary: 35.000€ - 40.000€, based on experience and abilities
  • Contract: permanent linked to project
