Job summary: A qualified professional is sought to carry out administrative and management support activities in innovation, transfer or entrepreneurship projects developed at the Maimónides Institute for Biomedical Research of Córdoba (IMIBIC), within the Innovation and Transfer Management Area. The contract is part of the KIDDIN project, identified with file number 101309771 and entitled “Knowledge and Innovation Deployment of Digital Infant Newtech”.

Professional development opportunities: The candidate will receive training courses related to the position offered.

  • This contract is funded by the KIDDIN (Knowledge and Innovation Deployment of Digital Infant Newtech) project, which has received funding from the European Union under Grant Agreement No. 101309771.

Salary from €1,708.33 to €2,010.73 gross/month (including pro-rata extra payments)

  • Duties to be performed
    • Carry out the tasks assigned within the KIDDIN project.
    • Search for innovation and development funding calls, their dissemination, and administrative support to IMIBIC research groups.
    • Identification of potential companies to collaborate on the project portfolio and preparation of a database of these companies.
    • Processing and compliance with the UIT quality standards (e.g., ISO-560001 and ISO-13485).
    • Conducting prior art analyses for future intellectual and industrial property protection of the institution within the KIDDIN project.
    • Regulatory advice to the groups included in the UIT portfolio.
    • Attendance at trade fairs and conferences to identify synergies and collaborations.
    • Administrative support to the institute’s research staff within the KIDDIN project.
    • Support in the preparation of economic studies, product positioning market studies, marketing and regulatory affairs.
    • Organisation of training courses in Innovation, Transfer or Entrepreneurship.
    • Preparation of reports on documents requested by the person in charge of the unit.
    • Management of collaboration agreements.
    • Support to the Centre’s Management and/or Administration in any research and innovation management activities required.
    • Any other related duties assigned by the Innovation and Transfer Unit.

    Merits to be assessed:

  • Demonstrable experience in: (up to a maximum of 2 points).
  • Innovation and Transfer related to the duties described in the offer (0.20 points per month of professional experience).
  • Health, biomedical or medical device regulation (0.30 points per month of professional experience).
  • Product regulation (0.15 points per month of professional experience).
  • Project management in health or biomedicine (0.30 points per month of professional experience).
  • Project management (0.15 points per month of professional experience).
  • Regulatory compliance management (0.20 points per month of professional experience).
  • Master's degree training in: (up to a maximum of 1 point).
  • Areas related to innovation management, health regulation and/or medical devices (1 point per Master's degree).
  • Related to marketing, entrepreneurship, biotech companies, digital innovation or business models (0.5 points per Master's degree).
  • Biomedical or health research (0.5 points per Master's degree).

     

  • Prior training: courses of less than 20 hours will be scored at 0.25 points/course; courses of 20 to 49 hours, at 0.5 points/course; courses of at least 50 hours, at 0.75 points/course (up to a maximum of 3 points). Only courses related to the following will be assessed:
  • Health and/or medical device regulation.
  • Innovation and Transfer Management.
  • Industrial or Intellectual Property.
  • Marketing, entrepreneurship, biotech companies, digital innovation, business models or similar.
  • Biomedical or health research.

     

  • English level (maximum of 1 point): each language level band will be assessed according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, with the following scoring:
    •  Certified English level equivalent to C1, or a stay of at least one academic year in an English-speaking country: 1 point.
    •  Certified English level equivalent to B2: 0.5 points.
    •  English or other languages, minimum certified level B1: 0.25 points.
  • Applicants are requested to break down, in months, both the tasks performed and the length of their professional experience. CVs that do not clearly and specifically state the number of months of experience or merits to be assessed will not be considered.

  • Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree/Associate Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Business Administration and Management and/or Law, Health Sciences Engineering or Biomedicine.

    Selection process

    At least the three best candidates will be selected to undergo a personal interview, in which communication skills, aptitude for the job and abilities will be assessed, with a maximum of 3 points.

    Only applications that obtain at least 50% of the points for the merits assessed will be eligible for the interview phase.

    Once the position has been resolved, should the selected candidate decline the contract, the Selection and Evaluation Committee may decide in favour of the next best-placed candidate according to the published ranking list.
