Offer Description

Contributing to the design and development of foundational and agentic AI models (LLMs, generative AI, RAG-based architectures) for autonomous, context-aware decision-making.
Researching and implementing trustworthy human-machine interaction methods, including explainability, transparency, and user-centered evaluation of AI-driven applications and
services.
Assisting in the validation of cross-cutting system properties (explainability, robustness, and trustworthiness) of AI models and components.

Skills/Qualifications

Solid background in Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
Experience or interest in agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, or similar).
Knowledge of Explainable AI (XAI) methods and trustworthy AI evaluation frameworks (e.g., SHAP,
LIME).
Strong technical writing, documentation, and presentation skills.


Specific Requirements

Master's degree in Engineering (ICT), Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or similar.
Demonstrated ability to work on applied research projects.
Capacity to collaborate in multidisciplinary environments and with international research teams.
Qualification providing access to doctoral studies.
Eligibility for admission to a PhD programme at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
Availability to work full-time at UPM in Madrid.
