THE BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF MÁLAGA NEEDS TO HIRE A PROFESSIONAL WITH THE FOLLOWING PROFILE: Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent TO COLLABORATE IN THE RESEARCH PROJECT:

Principal researcher: Antonio Jesús Jiménez Lara.

Venue : IBIMA / Department of Cellular Biology, Genetics and Physiology. Malaga University.

Research group: IBIMA Group C-05-DEGENERATION AND REGENERATION OF THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM.

Project: Testing non-embryonic based stem cells as regenerative cell sources for treating neonates with intraventricular hemorrhages that develop posthemorrhagic hydrocephalus (PI19/00778)

Project Financed by the ISCIII and “co-financed by the European Union”

Functions to be developed :

1) Obtaining and multiplying in the laboratory cultures (in vitro) of the different types of induced pluripotent stem cells.

2) Study of the integration of stem cells in the ventricular walls.

Minimum requirements :

Qualification: Degree Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent.

Valuable Requirements :

– Experience in handling mice. 0.25 points per year up to a maximum of 1 point.

– Experience in processing for neurobiological analysis using immunofluorescence techniques, confocal microscopy, molecular biology and proteomics. 1 point per year up to a maximum of 1 point.

-Experience in cell culture laboratory. 1 point per year up to a maximum of 4 Points.

-Experience or knowledge related to neuroscience. 0.25 points per year up to a maximum of 1 point.

The aforementioned requirements must be accredited by means of a certificate from a competent body or a responsible declaration.

Contract details :

• Contracting modality: Contract for scientific-technical activities (art. 23 bis of the Science and Technology Law Law 14/2011).
• Location: Department of Cell Biology, Genetics and Physiology. Malaga University.
• Gross annual remuneration: €13,361 (salary at 75% of the day).

• Day: Part time at 75%
• Estimated duration: 3 months (subject to end of activity/financing).
• Category: DEGREE.

Selection process :

-Based on the points obtained in the merit assessment, at least the three best candidates will be selected to carry out a personal interview in which communication skills, aptitude for work and skills will be assessed, with a maximum of 3 points. Only those candidates who obtain at least 50% of the evaluable merit points will be eligible for the interview phase.

-After the resolution of the position and in the event that the selected candidate renounces the contract, the hiring table may decide to decide in favor of the next candidate according to the list of scores.
