The candidate will be involved in a H2020 FET Proactive (European project) that will end December 2024. In this project, microfluidic technologies are being used for the advanced synthesis and assembly of functional materials.

Your tasks

  • Synthesis of monomers and surface derivatizations
  • Self-assembly studies
  • Materials processing in microfluidic environments
  • Characterization of the materials generated with a wide range of spectroscopy and microscopy techniques, and other physicochemical tools.
  • Publication of results in scientific journals and presentation of results at international conferences
  • Preparation of reports
  • Co-supervision of PhD students

Your profile

  • PhD in Chemistry, Materials science or in a related area
  • Experience in self-assembly studies
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Skills and expertise in microfabrication, 3D CAD drawing, and microfluidic technologies are preferred but not required
