CALL FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF A RESEARCHER FOR THE FOUNDATION FOR BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH OF THE PUERTA DE HIERRO UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL.

The Fundación para la Investigación Biomédica del Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro, announces a researcher position, with professional category of Senior Graduate of the Professional Group II for the scientific-technical Area 2.
This contract is charged to the grant/project: “Coestimulación 4-1BB condicionada por punto de control inmune para una inmunoterapia contra el cáncer eficaz y segura EFFESO”, funded by Agencia Estatal de Investigación with file number CPP2022-009765.

SCOPE OF WORK AND ACTIVITIES TO BE DEVELOPED
- The program will be developed in the Molecular Immunology Unit of the Research Foundation of the Hospital Puerta de Hierro Majadahonda.
- The activities to be developed are those established in the report of the project "4-1BB co-stimulation conditioned by immune checkpoint for an effective and safe immunotherapy against cancer EFFESO".

TASKS/FUNCTIONS TO BE PERFORMED:
o Isolation and expansion of NK cells and NK subpopulations.
o Design and cloning into expression vectors of bispecific antibodies to redirect NK cells.
o Gene modification of NK cells
o In vitro cytotoxicity assays with the genetically modified NK cells against solid and/or hematological tumors.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
 Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedicine or Biotechnology.
 Master's Degree in Immunology, Oncology or Therapeutic Targets
 Demonstrable experience in basic immunology and cell culture techniques of innate or adaptive immunity, including

 Demonstrable experience in immunology-based functional assays.
