Recruitment related to the project "ECOFROST_B - Tecnoloxías de refrixeración ecolóxicas baseadas en materiais barocalóricos con emisións neutras de carbono e en economía circular de CO2" developed under the "Programa Ignicia Prueba de Concepto 2023" (Ref: 001_IN855A_2023) coordinated by the principal investigator Juan Manuel Bermúdez García.

DETAILS OF THE CALL

a) Tasks to be performed. The tasks to be carried out by the beneficiary of this contract will be the following:

1) Scale-up of barocaloric compounds (materials of organic and/or hybrid organic-inorganic nature).

2) Characterisation of the samples obtained and verification of their purity by means of elemental analysis techniques, X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, among others.

3) Developing technical specification sheets on physico-chemical properties and thermal properties.

4) Support in the integration of barocaloric materials in a prototype developed in this project.

b) Duration of the contract. Indefinite contract (the tasks of the present contract are estimated to end on 31/01/2025).

c) Justification of the duration of the contract.

The ECOFROST_B project is subject to the release of funds by milestones achievement, so that the current budget covers the activities to be carried out until 31/01/2025. In case of successful achievement of the milestones proposed in the project, there would be the possibility to extend this contract until 31/12/2025.

Selection and evaluation criteria

- Academic qualification: PhD in Chemistry, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology or Materials Science = 10 points. Other qualifications = 0 points.

- Master's degree in research in the fields of Chemistry, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology or Materials Science = 5 points. Other degrees = 0 points.

- Experience in scale-up of organic and/or hybrid organic-inorganic materials with high purity: 10 points per year, maximum 30 points.

- Research experience in research companies in the field of materials synthesis: 10 points per year, maximum 20 points.

- Research experience in universities and/or international academic centres: 5 points per year, maximum 10 points.

- Personal interview = 25 points.

e) Conditions of vacancy and waiting list:

- The post may be considered vacant if there are no candidates with a minimum score of 60 points.

- A waiting list of candidates with a minimum score of 60 points who have not been selected for the post will be created and will be ranked in order of the points obtained.
