Job title: Innovation study “Inno4Scale Enabling SParse training of LLMs on GPUs (ESPLAG)”
Research line / Scientific-technical services: High-Performance Computing
The candidate selected in this call will carry out the following research tasks within the framework of the Inno4Scale-ESPLAG project, which in turn falls within the field of High Performance Computing (HPC):
• Deployment of distributed training written in Pytorch on high-performance infrastructures.
• Conducting systematic tests that prove the effectiveness and scalability of deployed implementations. Preparation of coherent reports regarding the results of said tests.
• Carrying out adjustment tasks for the implementations of dispersed training at the Pytorch level and deployment in large infrastructures.

Selection criteria (score out of 10 points)
- Experience in the field of the tasks to be performed will be considered, with the following selection criteria:
• Academic record of the Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics, or equivalent degree, calculated in base 10, which will be multiplied by 0.25 to obtain the score in this section (max. 2.5 points)
• Master’s Degree in the field of High-Performance Computing. The academic record in base 10 will be multiplied by 0.25 to obtain the score in this section (max. 2,5 points)
• Publications in international JCR journals in the HPC field (points/publication: JCR: 0,5 Q1/Q2; 0,25 Q3/Q4; max. 2,5 points)
• Personal interview (max. 2.5 points), only in case there is a difference of less than 2.5 points between the candidates who obtained the highest score
The contract could not be granted if no candidate obtains a score greater than 5 points
