Research staff with a Doctorate degree: Research or innovation activities within a laboratory, research group or department, including the development and participation in a research project, the performance of experimental tasks and data analysis and support for the writing of scientific articles.

Project goal: to improve the abilities of social robots to interact with humans in a more fluid and natural way. One of the main goals of the project is to improve the ability of social robots to perceive human emotional expressions, to understand human interactions and to respond appropriately.

With direct dependence on the Principal Investigator of the project, the following tasks will need to be carried out:

- Literature review on related topics: multimodal perception of emotions, facial expression analysis, body posture, human behavior analysis, context analysis, sentiment analysis.

- Dataset preparation: use of state-of-the-art speech-to-text technologies, creation of dataset splits for training, validation and testing of multimodal deep learning models.

- Design, implementation and testing of deep learning models for face analysis, body position analysis, multimodal perception of emotions, object detection, scene recognition.

- Visualization and interpretation of results. Quantitative and qualitative analysis.

- Drafting of technical reports and scientific works to disseminate the results obtained.

- Preparation and documentation of the code to publish it in a repository.
