Offer Description

We are seeking candidates for a contract in the framework of the EU-funded project ‘Towards Education open badges system to Reach employability in Regenerative Agriculture’ (TERRA).

The TERRA project aims to improve the current agricultural training model in two ways by enhancing the qualification ecosystem required for jobs in regenerative agriculture and providing a micro-credential design based on the Open Badges System for training activities (online, blended and face-to-face).

The TERRA project involves the following tasks: identifying skills required by employers in the area of regenerative agriculture; designing pathways for learning with limited of content to foster short courses in the near term; designing a micro-credential system; establishing a skill recognition framework for short-term training activities; running a pilot trial to test and validate micro-credential designs, and creating and releasing a common open-source platform to share TERRA’s open badges ecosystem.

The successful candidate will undertake the following tasks:

Looking for information on courses linked to sustainable agriculture, particularly within the European microcredentials system or in line with professional qualification certification systems

Compiling and analysing information on courses collected by different organisations and drawing up a report on micro-credentials for regenerative agriculture

Designing structured surveys to pinpoint in-demand training content in the agricultural sector to serve as a basis for future training courses

Running a pilot survey and redesigning content based on the findings. Distributing the survey to all stakeholders

Undertaking a qualitative and quantitative analysis of survey results and drawing up a report on the skills required by employers in the area of regenerative agriculture

Communicating with fellow project members and organising joint project tasks.

Specific Requirements

Knowledge of the European micro-credential systems and the open badges ecosystem would be a plus. A C1 certificate in English would be a plus.

Experience required: 1-4 years

Prior experience

Particular consideration will be given to candidates with experience in social research involving interviews and organising training courses.

Gross monthly salary: 1.428,43 €

Eligibility criteria

• Curricular merits in the field (max. 40 points).

• Qualifications in the specialist area (max. 20 points), other (max. 5 points).

• Video curriculum and, if applicable, personal interview (max. 20 points).

• Experience in the field (max. 15 points). E.g.: > 3 years (10 points), < 3 years (5 points).

• Other merits (max. +5 points). E.g.: recommendation letters.

Eligibility threshold: 60 points.


Selection process

In accordance with article 8 of the REGULATORY AGREEMENT 145140 of 15th June 2022 that approves the regulation governing the recruitment of research staff under chapter 6 allocation of the university budget, as well as technical or operational research staff.

i. The relevant Pro-Vice-Chancellor for research (or delegated representative) as chair.

ii. The supervisor (or delegated representative).

iii. The members of the Research Area Assessment Committee (CARAI).

iv. One or more expert members in the topic pertaining to the recruitment and chosen by the chair of the committee, where applicable.

v. The head of FORHU (or delegated representative), as secretary, who may speak but not vote.
