The Korea Polar Research Institute (KOPRI) affiliated with the Korea Institute of Ocean Science & Technology (KIOST) is recruiting competent and capable workers who can contribute to the future of polar science as following.
ㅇ Post-doctorate Researchers in physical oceanography
- Area of Training: Research on Changes in Polar Ocean and Glacier Environments Using Satellite and Field Observation Data
- Required Skills : Data analysis technique for physical oceanographic observation, Technique for installation and recovery of oceanographic mooring instrument, Programming skills for data analysis (MATLAB, Python, etc.)
- Major Field : Oceanography, physical oceanography, polar ocean, earth science, computer science, remote sensing
Qualifications
o The applicant must have acquired a Ph.D. degree in the related field (Recruitment date: March 1, 2024). The applicant must have published (approved) more than 1 SCIE thesis as a first author within the past 3 years from the date of the recruitment announcement.
o Applicants who are not disqualified for employment (Article 10 of the Personnel Regulations) of the research institute (applicants corresponding to any of the items in Article 33, Paragraph 1 of the Public Officials Act, applicants who have been suspended or deprived of civil rights by law, applicants who have been judged unfit for employment as a result of physical examination, applicants who have evaded military duty, applicants who have been naturally retired, dismissed, or fired due to corrupt practices, etc.).
o Only applicants with foreign nationalities who are able to submit visas to prove the qualifications for legal employment activities based on background checks issued by a background checking institute of the corresponding country and the expected date of making entrance (expected to be around March 2024 to May 2024).
