YOUR ROLE

  • As PMO/Transformation Manager for the Sustainability Ambition 2030 of Henkel Adhesives Technology (HAT), you will report directly to the Vice President Sustainability of HAT. In your role, you will be responsible for:
  • Driving our strategic sustainability program across and incl. multiple projects, ensuring cross-fertilization and aligned approach to ensure synergies and avoid redundancies. You will directly engage with the project owners to define their ambition and respective set of KPIs and milestone, ensure timely progress, and effective and timely escalation when and where required. This will include close collaboration with the nine strategic business units of HAT in bringing the sustainability ambition to life
  • Reporting the implementation progress of our strategic sustainability programs to the Henkel Adhesive Technologies management board. You will prepare and steer the reporting of our sustainability ambition in regular management board meetings by developing effective communication, conveying progress, addressing challenges, and sharing strategic insights related to our sustainability programs
  • Building and maintaining a holistic reporting for our sustainability ambition 2030 for internal steering and external reporting. This includes the conceptual set-up, ensuring the compliance to regulatory requirements and the technical implementation together with our Sustainability Data & Analytics team, our digital unit, and Corporate Sustainability

In your role, you understand the objectives and priorities of our sustainability programs and actively contribute to

shaping our sustainability operating model

. You are further able to embed our sustainability ambition 2030 in the wider context of our HAT strategy as well as to regulatory changes and requirements.

To effectively and efficiently cover the programs/projects included in the above scope, we expect you to be fluent and experienced in the following tasks:

  • Develop and implement project management programs from scratch incl. clear program, project, workstream charter(s) as well as realistic and measurable goals and related action plans
  • Manage every aspect of a program/project, including its planning, progress tracking, risk assessment, and resources by using adequate project management tools and techniques to ensure smooth program/project execution
  • Develop internal communication strategies ensuring adequate and swift communication between program/project team members, steering bodies and further involved internal/external parties, ensure visibility of issues and its swift mitigating actions as well as escalation to program/project steering bodies
  • Motivate team members to meet project goals on time by effectively carrying out their responsibilities and by removing "bottlenecks"
YOUR SKILLS
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Sustainability Management, Project Management, Strategy (ideally with a focus on sustainability) or Engineering
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in cross-functional transformation projects, e.g., large scale sustainability transformations, post-merger integration, multi-functional IT transformation, profitability turnaround projects
  • Project management certification from a recognized project management institute is necessary
  • Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and communication capabilities
  • Strong leadership skills to direct the program/project operations efficiently
  • Strong "can do"-mentality combined with a strategic and analytical mindset
  • Strong problem-solving skill esp. when applying project management principles and methodologies in seeking viable solutions to project issues/risks
  • Chemical or Adhesives industry experience is nice to have, not a must
  • Fluent English language skills, knowledge of German is an advantage
