 Job description: 

General description:

• Designing and updating of curriculum and adaptation of university and higher education study programmes,
• organization and co-organization of all activities relevant to the execution of study courses in accordance with curriculums and developments in the professional field, coordination of work and control over the work of other teaching staff (assistants, technical and other staff),
• lectures for students, conduct of seminars and other pedagogical activities on the subject at undergraduate and post-graduate study programmes,
• guidance of research work and other study activities of students and mentoring for students in their seminary papers, diploma thesis and other work,
• scientific research work, study and development of concepts, theories and methods.
• care for safe and healthy work of the employees and students in the unit, for adequate education and instructions to users of personal protection equipment and other safety measures,
• performing other tasks from the wider professional area of the job.

  Detailed description:

• pedagogical work in the subject Anatomy of Domestic Animals,
• mentoring and research work in the field of veterinary morphology,
• institutional and international cooperation in the field of veterinary morphology.

 Conditions for the position: 

• Required education/level and area: doctoral degree (PhD) in Veterinary Medicine.
• Valid habilitation of Veterinary medicine.
• The candidate fulfills the condition if he / she has a valid UL title or the valid title of the Guest teacher at UL. If, at the time of application, the candidate does not have an election to the abovementioned titles, but he / she meets the qualitative and quantitative conditions for election to these titles, he / she can apply for the job vacancy, in which  case, together with the application, he / she shall also provide evidence of compliance with the above criteria, accompanied by a statement , in the event of a decision by the selection committee, the application shall also be considered as an application for election to the title or for the recognition of the equivalence of the title.   
• Good organizational skills.

• Innovative approach.
• B2 knowledge of Slovenian according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which is proven by a certificate. If a foreign national does not meet this requirement when occupying the position, they shall meet it no later than within three years after employment.

Eligibility criteria

  The candidate submits the application with the following mandatory attachments:

• CV with relevant qualifications and experience,
• evidence of a valid habilitation title of a higher education teacher or evidence of fulfillment of the quantitative and qualitative criteria for election to the title or for the recognition of the title, in accordance with the criteria,
• evidence of quality teaching and mentoring work,
• a bibliography and a list of the five most important scientific publications in the last 10 years,
• evidence of the management of research projects,
• vision of the development of the subject Anatomy of Domestic Animals and scientific research work in the field of Veterinary Morphology (maximum 1 page),

Selection process

When selecting a candidate, we will take into account the following criteria:

• the quality of teaching and mentoring work at all levels of study,
• demonstrated knowledge of the macroscopic anatomy of farm animals,
• the success of research work in the field of Veterinary Morphology,
• experience in managing research projects,
• demonstrated inter-institutional and international cooperation,
• managerial and organizational experience.
