Offer Description

 JOB DESCRIPTION:

• designing and training curricula, and adapting university and higher professional education programs to requirements
• organization or co-organizing the activities related to the implementation of the teaching programme according to the syllabus, with application of research findings; coordinating work and supervising other staff engaged in the teaching programme (assistants, technical and other assistants)
• giving lectures to students, conducting seminars and other pedagogical activities
• managing, evaluating and correcting examination papers and tests
• directing research work and study activities of students, providing mentorship to students in preparing their diplomas, master and doctoral thesis
• the scientific-research, study and development of concepts, theories and methods
• participation in other activities related to pedagogical or scientific research work in the field of expertise (for example nostrification, expertise)
• perform other tasks by order of the Dean, Vice Deans respectively, or Head of the Department, which in substance fall within the broad area of expertise workplace

  Functional knowledge and other requirements:

• scientific references in the field of mathematics, rhetorical abilities, sense of innovation, sense of organizing one's own work and the work of co-workers, work experience in the pedagogical field
• desirable experience in pedagogical work with students of pedagogical study programs, in organizing and implementing professional education and training for teachers
• preferred scientific references in the field of mathematical analysis

Specific Requirements

 CONDITIONS FOR THE POSITION:  

Required education (level and area):

• doctorate (PhD-previous) in the field of mathematics
• doctorate (PhD-third Bologna cycle) in the field of mathematics
• valid habilitation title: Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Full Professor in the field of mathematics
  • candidate meets the condition if he has a valid UL title or valid title of the guest teacher at UL. If, at the time of application, the candidate does not have an election to the above mentioned titles, but he meets the qualitative and quantitative conditions for election to these titles, he can apply for the job vacancy, in which case, together with the application, he/she shall also provide evidence of compliance with the above criteria, accompanied by a statement, in the event of a decision by the selection committee, the application shall also be considered as an application for election to the title or for the recognition of the equivalence of the title
• active knowledge of English and knowledge of the Slovenian language at B2 level according to the European Reference Framework for Languages (CEFR). If the selected candidate fails to meet this condition at the time of the job placement, he must complete it within three years from the date of employment.

In this case, the candidate must also enclose a statement that he agrees that in case of a decision of the selection board, his application is also considered as an application for election to the title or for the recognition of the title
