Postdoc researcher in Plasma Physics

The Department of Experimental Physics seeks candidates for a postdoctoral position in laboratory of atmospheric plasma applications within the project APVV „Advanced plasma technologies applicable in agriculture for surface treatment of seeds and dried fruits“. The aim of the project is to study atmospheric-pressure, low-temperature plasma (LTP) generated by different types of plasma sources relevant for application in agriculture to various types of plant models. The research is focused on evaluating the overall effects of LTP on seeds and dried fruits.

Position description: 1-year full-time position (37,5 hours per week) with possible renewal for additional year, the expected starting date is October 1, 2022.

Qualification: Requirements include a PhD in Plasma physics, Experimental Physics or related discipline obtained within past 5 years. The candidate is expected to have previous research experience. Skills with plasma treatment of biological samples and basic surface diagnostics are optional.
