Job Description

The National University of Singapore (NUS) launched the College of Humanities and Sciences (CHS) in August 2021, an enhanced undergraduate experience for students of the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences (FASS) and the Faculty of Science (FOS). CHS includes a Common Curriculum of 13 modules that provide foundational skills in literacy, numeracy and critical thinking, as well as broad exposure to Humanities, Social Sciences, and Asian Studies.
To augment its team of dedicated educators currently implementing its interdisciplinary offerings in the new integrated modules, FASS seeks the following:
•    TA (Integrated Asian Studies)
Successful candidates will be appointed on the Educator Track, for a period of two or three years with the possibility of extension. The anticipated start date is July 2022. 

The candidate will be expected to do the following:
•    Conduct lectures and tutorials (discussion groups) and support students via email, office hours.
•    Provide administrative support and assist in the day to day running of the module.
•    Prepare educational resources and course materials.
•    Evaluate module assessment components.
•    Teach up to 240 contact hours per academic year.


Qualifications

A good honours degree or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (Humanities/Social Sciences with a focus on Asia)
