A Senior Research Scientist is required to develop novel cancer chemoprevention and treatment options using small molecules isolated from tropical plants in the Nanyang Biologics-NTU joint laboratory, for drug discovery and therapeutics at School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Job Description:

  • Design, implement and perform in vitro and in vivo animal experiments for cancer study [such as cell-line derived xenograft and syngeneic (allograft) mouse models]

  • Collect and analyze experimental data

  • Report and grant writing

  • Supervise and train junior staff and students attached to the lab

Job Requirements:

  • PhD in Biological Sciences or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant working experience

  • The candidate should have skills in molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, and animal experiment such as such as cell-line derived xenograft and syngeneic (allograft) mouse model

  • Teamwork is expected. All lab personnel are required to perform lab maintenance and other duties to keep the lab functioning

  • Due to the nature of research and animal work, research personnel involved in this project might need to work over the weekends. Should there be a need to work over the weekend, day-off in lieu will apply.
