CONIC is a neuroimaging facility which has stationed state-of-the-art neuroimaging equipment viz., MRI, MEG, EEG & fNIRS with the mission of providing neuroimaging solutions to several projects both within NTU and other institutions. We seek an ideal candidate with a hands-on knowledge in the fundamentals, theoretical and experimental basis of these modalities. The candidate must exhibit hands on experience in designing, planning, and conducting neuroimaging experiments in modalities viz., MRI, MEG EEG & fNIRS in human subjects. In addition, the candidate is expected to have extensive experience in image processing software viz., SPM (Matlab), CONN, BrainVoyager, Python & nirslab. Also having experience in programming the paradigm for functional neuroimaging in E-Prime, Psychopy is added advantage. The candidate must show willingness to guide/mentor the research/attachment students in their projects and in teaching.
Responsibilities:
Design, plan and conduct experiments in both structural and functional MRI, MEG, EEG fNIRS and TMS
Data/Image processing using image processing software: SPM, CONN, BrainVoyager, EEGlab, NRISlab
Guiding/Mentoring attachment/ PhD/ URECA/ scholarly project students
Training staff in the MRI, MEG, EEG & fNIRS
Writing research proposals and publications
Conducting research in his own area of expertise and publishing research papers in peer reviewed scientific journals
Collaborating and assisting the PIs from diverse disciplines in their research and in their grant proposals
Troubleshooting and maintenance of the equipment in CoNiC
Working towards enhancing the research capabilities in CoNiC by procuring advanced hardware and software thereby delivering productive results for in-house and collaborative research
Requirements:
Ph.D in Biology, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering or related fields
Experience in design, plan and conducting experiments in MRI, MEG, EEG & fNIRS neuroimaging tool
Software skills: Matlab, Brainvoyager, python, Psychopy, Eprime
Work as an independent researcher with self-motivation
Team worker: work with colleagues, other PIs and staffs from different departments
Willing to learn new imaging techniques and related software
Troubleshooting the issues and ensuring uninterrupted functioning of experiments
Able to deliver intellectual inputs/neuroimaging solutions to PIs and students in their research
This is a 2 years contract appointment.
