Key Responsibilities

  • AI Enablement Programmes
  • Lead and oversee a range of AI enablement programmes to facilitate the growth of AI skills among SIT undergraduate students and academic staff.
  • Develop an AI Competency Roadmap, providing guidance for SIT undergraduate students and academic staff in developing their AI competencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI, ensuring the continued relevancy and currency of the AI enablement programmes and AI Competency Roadmap.
  • Manage AI-related resources within the division such as (but not limited to) the administration of software, hardware systems, and equipment.
  • AI Projects for Teaching and Learning
  • Drive AI projects within SIT or with industry partners to support teaching and learning objectives.
  • Collaborate with faculty and other divisions on these AI projects.
  • Participate in the development of these AI projects.
  • Supervise external parties and mentor students in the development of these AI projects.
  • Teaching & Student Mentorship
  • Develop and deliver digital skills literacy related courses or workshops to undergraduate students and staff. This includes development of learning contents and activities, providing consultations on digital skills/technology related queries, and assessment and grading of students’ work.
  • Mentor and facilitate student learning by participating in and managing student projects.
  • Any other matters as directed by Director/Deputy Director of CoDE.

Job Requirements

  • A good degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. Masters, PhD and/or relevant professional certifications would be advantageous.
  • 5+ years of working experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Analytics, or a related area.
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying AI solutions.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
  • Proficiency in data preprocessing, model training, and evaluation techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and AI/ML tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems.
  • Possess strong supervisory skills and project management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure that the project can meet the milestones adhering to the stipulated timeline.
  • Enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs.
