Job Description
  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and technical team.
  • Drive UX/UI design for applications by performing user research, designing visual and interaction experiences, creating customer journey maps, wireframes, prototypes and performing usability tests.
  • Design solutions that balance user needs, resource constraints and development feasibility.
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
  • Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
  • Build page navigation buttons and search fields.
  • Develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness)
  • Develop/Maintain/Adhere to style standards on fonts, colours, and images.
  • Create high-performance reusable components and future-proof front-end frameworks.
  • Create new user-facing features as well as reusable code. 
  • Write efficient, performant code to achieve optimal web application performance and scalability. 
  • Identify design flaws and provide attractive remedies.
  • Assuring software compatibility and responsiveness across a range of screen 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science/Arts/Engineering in Design, Computer Science, or other relevant field of study
  • At least 8 to 10 years of working experience in UX design for mobile responsive web applications including those on Android and iOS platforms.
  • Have experience working closely with developers to ensure design ideas can be easily implemented.
  • Working knowledge of Design Thinking and/or UX design principles
  • Experience with user testing and usability analysis
  • Excellent visual design skills with proficiency in graphic design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe XD or Figma
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with the ability to interact with stakeholders and users at different levels.
  • Have portfolio or experience to demonstrate experience in producing sketches, wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, task-flows, or relevant design artefacts.
  • Experience in coding and being involved in education sector is an added advantage.
