Senior Manager / Assistant Senior Manager (Residential Hall)

Job Purpose :

Assisting Hall Master to oversee the operations of the hostel and residential life in conjunction with the hostel's strategic planning.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Handles Student Admissions, Student Accommodation, Outreach, Corporate Communications & Student Life.
• Assist students to settle in the hostel through orientation programme and ongoing residential programmes .
• Pandemic support in hostel - safe management measures, isolation procedures, rostered routine testing, meals support.
• Support Master in crisis management cases including intervention, response and follow-up.
• Advisory to students with issues and coordinating with Resident Fellows on such resident visits in the hostel.
• Liaison person between the hostel and other departments on hardware related issues, fire and safety issues and student matters.
• Provide timely and effective administrative, logistical and welfare support to the Resident Staff and students.
• Handling ad-hoc projects as and when assigned
• Maintain accurate student disciplinary records in NUS databases.
• Support and coordinates residential programs.
• Provide timely and effective administrative, logistical and welfare support to the Residential Life team and students.
• Record and maintains inventory lists.
• Support of hostel's events such VIP visits, Master's & Fellow's Tea, Forums etc.

• A University degree or a Polytechnic Diploma with at least 5 - 7 years of working experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Analytical, strong planning and organisational skills.
• Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates excellent skills in teamwork, collaboration and attention to details.
• Ability to be flexible and nimble to be effective in diverse settings.
• Candidates with experience in crisis management will have an advantage.
