Job Description

This candidate will work closely with business users and IT colleagues to streamline business processes and implement IT solutions to support the business needs of NUS Development Office. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

Business Analysis: 

  • Gather and document IT needs of Department.
  • Perform process mapping (as-is and to-be).
  • Identify inefficiency in the existing system / manual processes, help in process streamlining and / or automation.
  • Assess impact of policy and procedure changes and initiate change request to the system if applicable.
  • Assist System Owner to gather business requirements, prepare functional specifications.

 

Business Operation:

  • Play the role of a business System Administrator for configuration of application and authorization matrix maintenance.
  • Support data extraction (use simple query tool or SQL) and generating reports.
  • Provide training and day-to-day support which includes (i) 1st level troubleshooting and issue resolution, and (ii) Guide users in using the system.
  • Collate and help to prioritize problems / issues.
  • Document and maintain user guides / training materials, FAQ, SOP, business process inventory / map.
  • Drive business events and communicate with the user community.

 

Project / Enhancement: 

  • Function as business project manager / user lead.
  • Define data conversion / migration requirements, verifying correctness of data.
  • Lead and perform user acceptance test.

Qualifications
  • Degree in any discipline with at least 5 years’ experience in systems or business analysis.
  • Excellent business process and analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information quickly, and communicate complex requirements and issues clearly and concisely. The ability to understand the questions that business is trying to answer is essential.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management, staff and vendors.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Must be a good team player, proactive in nature, fast learner, highly organized and positive attitude.
  • Good grasp of Data Management concepts, and how IT technologies can be creatively applied to business.
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management, campaign management and fund raising solutions, as well as experience in banking, insurance, charitable organization or higher education is a bonus.
