Senior Manager, Admissions (Policy & Operations)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team in running the end-to-end operations of Admissions work, ensuring that admissions operations are well-managed, efficient and effective; Operationalises admissions strategic plans in meeting the University’s and Division’s objectives.
  • Manages a robust student admissions system, and implements a set of well-oiled processes that are fit-for-purpose that are regularly reviewed for continuous improvement.
  • Ensures that admission principles and integrity are respected and maintained i.e. SIT admissions policies and procedures are adhered to by the team and stakeholders, alongside MOE policies regarding student recruitment.
  • Committed to providing a positive applicant experience, upholding service standards, and professionally managing touch-points and engagement with prospective students, and the public, thus representing the University and the Division favourably.   
  • Generates admission statistics for internal and external stakeholders (eg. management and other divisions in SIT, Ministry of Education and other government bodies, polytechnics etc.), and performs data analysis/studies that will inform admissions work.
  • Participates in recruitment and enrolment activities, including open houses, SIT talks and road shows in the various polytechnics.
  • Works closely with SIT Directors of Programmes and Programme Leads, and Overseas University Partners to achieve enrolment goals.
  • Adhoc work projects on an assignment-basis

Requirements:

  • A degree from a good University, or extensive skills or experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Proven track record with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in an educational environment, with exposure to systems and operational work.

  • Experience in admissions operations or registrar’s work, and experience in an international environment are plus points.

  • Good problem-solving and communication skills

  • Strong people-management and interpersonal skills.
