Senior Executive/Assistant Manager, Admissions (Financial Assistance & Scholarships)

The successful candidate, is responsible for assisting in the implementation of all matters relating to financial assistance and scholarships. He/she will also play a role in the administering of Admissions of students into the university.

Key Responsibilities

  • The officer will primarily be responsible for the administration of the various Scholarships and Financial Assistance offered at SIT
  • Administer the SIT Scholarship and any other external scholarships that may be awarded through SIT, ensuring the administration of these awards are done professionally and reviewing the scholarship commitments annually
  • To work with the wider Financial Assistance & Scholarships (FAS) team for the processing of Financial Assistance and Scholarship applications - seeing through the operations from planning, to verification of applications, awarding and acceptance of awards administered
  • To maintain good rapport with other relevant divisions in SIT and external partners to aid in the processing of Financial Assistance and Scholarships
  • To work with Director or Assistant Director, Admissions in liaising with potential industry partners for the offering of bonded scholarships for SIT’s students
  • To assist at events like the Open House, road shows, information sessions and outreach talks organised by SIT.
  • To participate in the admissions processes such as processing of admission applications, co-ordinating interviews for shortlisted applicants, and delivering on admission targets

Job Requirements

  • At least 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the Higher Education sector or related fields
  • Proven track record in operations work or student related activities will be advantageous
  • Experience with Student Information Systems will be advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; good written and oral skills.
  • A team player who is able to multi-task and perform well under pressure.
  • Passionate, persevering and possessing a positive attitude, with the ability to relate to students and understand issues/problems quickly
