Job Description

NUS Centre For the Arts (CFA) comprises the NUS Museum and NUS Baba House; the University Cultural Centre (UCC); and a Talent Development and Programming division that oversees 21 student arts excellence groups in music, dance, theatre and film.  

 

On campus and beyond, we aim to provide opportunities for the appreciation of the arts and seek to champion creative possibilities and inspire strong communities through programming, exhibitions, workshops and outreach such as the University’s flagship arts event, the NUS Arts Festival and Singapore’s longest running arts outreach programme, the ExxonMobil Campus Concerts. 

 

This role is to provide support to the NUS Museum’s and Baba House’s finance, procurement and admin functions, including management of assets.


Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, including payments to suppliers, and periodic reporting of expenses, revenue, and budget variances
  • Manage procurement of goods and services, including stationery, assets and equipment, and periodic review of outstanding purchase orders
  • Coordinate e-payroll processes for temp staff and students
  • Coordinate withholding tax matters
  • Conduct monthly cash-count of cash float and sales
  • Conduct annual non-art asset verification exercises
  • Supervise a junior member of the team who oversees venue rental, image requests, merchandise and collateral sales, annual art-asset verification exercises, and monitoring of internal control functions
  • Provide covering support to wardens and other administrative staff
  • Assist in outreach programmes and events
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements
  • Basic degree in Business or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year relevant work experience in Accounts Payable, Procurement and Corporate governance.
  • Possess an interest in art, history and heritage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Experience with SESAMi, SAP S4 HANA or similar software.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Meticulous, with a keen attention for details.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to work some evenings and weekends to support museum events.
