Job Description

The Office of the Provost (PVO) is looking for a senior Executive and Administrative staff to oversee the planning, coordination and operations of centrally-hosted large-scale community service & development, and social enterprise projects, in collaboration with government agencies and community partners, for the NUS Communities & Engagement (C&E) pillar to deliver service-learning for our students, and transformational impact for our partners. Further details are as follow:

  • Oversee planning, coordination and operations of partnership development to enhance value, impact and business continuity of centrally-hosted service-learning modules for NUS and community partner, in collaboration with NUS academic units and central units, including communications office, instructional technology office and development office. Build and strengthen relationships with certain high-priority community partners
  • Oversee planning, coordination and operations of academic programme and administration to enhance value, impact and experience of centrally-hosted service-learning modules for students, in collaboration with NUS academic units and academic admin units. Build and strengthen relationships with student groups, residential colleges, halls, etc
  • Conduct regular reviews and risk assessment of key large-scale service-learning modules, and direct appropriate improvement and mitigation measures. Handle issues and manage related crises, as may occur from time to time
  • Support other PVO initiatives/projects related to social services, community building, social enterprises and/or corporate social responsibility

Requirements
  • The successful candidate would likely have a good degree from a reputable university. He/she should be an excellent planner and communicator, with a strategic mind, pleasant disposition and effective interpersonal skills, to lead a multi-disciplinary team to shape possibly complex issues involving multiple stakeholders
  • He/she should also be able to give attention to details required to successfully plan and direct operations in support of such objectives
  • The candidate should also have an interest in advancing community services & development, and social enterprise work, for Singapore
  • Prior experience in business development/relationship management, knowledge in local social work landscape and regulations, and other relevant experiences, such as in project management and multi-scale administration, would also be considered an advantage
