Job Description

The NTU Museum is seeking a talented and experienced Exhibition Manager to oversee the development and implementation of exhibitions. Reporting to the Head of Museum, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:  

  • Lead collaborative projects with external partners and stakeholders to develop and implement exhibitions and programs.

  • Conceptualise and organise programmes, oversee its implementation, assist in curation of exhibitions.

  • Organise and prepare art proposals for display in offices and public spaces and oversee its installation.

  • Work closely with the Head of Museum in sourcing; identifying, appraising, and developing quality art and archive collections.

  • Review policies and workflow to ensure excellence in core functions such as collections management, conservation, exhibitions, access, use and dissemination of information for the benefit of the NTU Community and the public.

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for exhibitions that aligns with the museum's mission and vision.

  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of exhibition production, including research, design, installation, and deinstallation.

  • Manage the exhibition budget, including overseeing procurement of necessary resources and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Art Management, and with at least 1-2 years of experience in the Arts

  • Good track record of exhibition and programme curation. An interest in promoting institutional history in an interdisciplinary environment is advantageous.

  • Experience in proposing outreach strategies through various platforms including social media, design and write content for marketing and promotional purposes.

  • Possess basic knowledge in international museum and archive principles, standards and practices, development, current and emerging trends, and professional code of ethics and practices.
