Job Description

 

AI Singapore (AISG) is a national AI programme launched by the National Research Foundation (NRF) to anchor deep national capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

 
 
The programme office is hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and brings together all Singapore-based research institutions and the vibrant ecosystem of AI start-ups and companies developing AI products to perform use-inspired research, grow the knowledge, create the tools, and develop the talent to power Singapore's AI efforts. 

 

 

AI Singapore (AISG) seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Scientific Officer. In this role, you will provide all-rounded support to our department, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our research activities. You will collaborate with researchers, faculty, and external stakeholders to facilitate the administrative processes involved in research projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of research management procedures.

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities 


In this role, you will:


●    Provide project support for AI Technology pillar’s activities, such as but not limited to, project development, budgeting, monitoring and planning.
●    Coordinate review and approval process for research projects, ensuring adherence to governance and/or regulatory requirements.
●    Maintain accurate records of research projects, including documentation of project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
●    Assist in organizing and coordinating research-related meetings, workshops, and conferences, including logistical arrangements, participant communication, and material preparation.
●    Stay updated on relevant university policies, regulations, and best practices in research administration and disseminate information to the research team as necessary.
●    Foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and funding agencies.
 


Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, science, or a related discipline). 
  •  At least 2 years in research management or related roles, with a solid understanding of university research processes and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
