A SASEAF Postdoctoral Fellow position is currently available in the Asian School of the Environment (ASE).

Job Responsibilities

  • Work under a project to investigate terrestrial organic carbon cycling in Southeast Asia's seas

  • Focus on developing and testing isotope-based techniques to identify terrestrial organic carbon

  • Develop and execute field research

  • Lead laboratory measurements and data analysis to write scientific papers

  • Field work will be conducted regionally in Southeast Asia


Job Requirements

  • PhD in oceanography or related area of marine research, ideally with prior post-PhD research experience in marine biogeochemistry

  • Publication record on marine organic carbon cycling as well as prior field research experience at sea

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are expected
