Temasek Laboratories@NTU (TL@NTU) is recruiting a research scientist (PhD Graduate) with an expertise in integrated circuit analysis (e.g., failure/physical analysis, radiation, semi-invasive and fully invasive analysis) to join a new project on the radiation testing and qualification of advanced devices. Objective of the project is to develop and study new Single Even Effect testing modalities that can potentially translate into local industry and help space community. Different modalities of irradiation will be explored (i.e., laser, x-ray and e-beam).
The newly hired staff will integrate a team of researchers and have access to state-of-the-art facilities found in semiconductor manufacturing industry. Experiments in synchrotron particle accelerator are also scheduled. The research scientist will be in charge of designing and conducting experiments to demonstrate proofs of concepts as well identify key parameters to increase the technology readiness level. Publications in the top conferences and journal of the domain are expected. Depending on research outcome, technology transfer as well as training of collaborators may also be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Design experiments to perform SEE testing under various irradiation modalities (pulsed laser, x-ray in synchrotron, e-Beam)
Design of test boards and development of firmware for experiments
Conduct experiments and analyze results
Training of collaborators
Job Requirements:
PhD degree in Electronics or Applied Physics or Test and Instrumentation or equivalent
Expertise in microelectronics and semiconductor device physics
Expertise in radiations interaction with semiconductor devices is preferred
Experience in SEE testing
Experience in handling electrical test and measurement instrumentation (e.g. high bandwidth oscilloscope, current amplifier, lock-in amplifier, function generator)
Familiar with FPGA development and VHDL/Verilog
Proficient is scripting languages like Python
Track record of publications in the field of Integrated circuits testing and analysis (e.g., Radiation testing, Failure Analysis and defect localization)
We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
