Research Fellow (T2 Deformable Actuator)

The School of Materials Science & Engineering (MSE)  invites applications for the position of Research Fellow. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• To develop prototype of smart gripper based on dielectric actuator and electrochemical devices based on solid polymer electrolyte.

• To develop functional smart gripper for industry testings

• To formulate chemistry for elastomer using sustainable materials

• To develop polymeric electrolyte for electrochemical devices

Job Requirements: 

• PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or related field.

• Prior knowledge on polymer synthesis and processing

• Prior knowledge on electrochemical devices

• Able to handle collaboration with industry and negotiation of project agreements

• Chemistry synthesis approaches for polymer, supramolecular materials.

• Electrical device knowledge, dielectric actuation and electrochemical device knowledge

• Collaborative, strong communication skills

• Mandatory industry experience
