Job Description

A Research Fellow (Single Atom Photothermal Catalysis, Defect and Strain Chemistry, Surface/Interface Kinetics, Mechanistic Studies) position is open in the research group of Professor Ho Ghim Wei, at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS).  

 

He /she is required to perform: 

- Precise synthesis of atomic scale heterojunctions, single atom catalyst and dynamic regulation of phase transition of metal/metal oxide nanostructured materials and 2D membrane.

- Design, testing and operando studies of photo/photothermal catalysis system.
 


Qualifications

•    Possess a PhD and BSc Degree in Engineering/Chemistry. 
•    Experienced in design, synthesis, and characterization of photon/thermal conversion and production of clean fuel. 
•    Competent in using various synthesis techniques, materials characterization tools e.g. spectroscopy, microscopy etc.
•    Familiar with the standard nanofabrication tools and processes
•    Proficient in using some of the softwares eg. photoshop, 3D max, solidWorks, autoCAD.
•    Able to work on materials and system scalability towards practical applications.
•    Have well-established and independent analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Excellent communication skills to publish and to present results.
•    Open to fixed term contract.
