Research Fellow (Power Systems)

A Research Fellow position is available in the Centre for System Intelligence and Efficiency, School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Job Description:

The Research Fellow will work on a project to conduct the research on development of power system stability analysis including computational methods to develop an efficient data driven simulation framework to meet the challenges introduced by increasing renewables and energy trading components in the power sector. The roles of this position include:

• Development of methodologies and algorithms for power system simulations including renewables and trading considerations

• Development of artificial intelligence and big data analytics algorithms for system stability assessment

• Development of system stability simulator system with the AI and data analytics based algorithms with bench market systems

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Computing, Electrical Engineering or related fields

• Proven research experience in related areas

• Expertise in power system analysis including renewable and market

• Publication track record

• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++ and Python

• Proficiency in English
