The Baby-LINC Singapore Lab (https://blogs.ntu.edu.sg/baby-linc/) is looking for talented Research Fellows to join a fast-paced and dynamic new Wellcome Trust LEAP 1kD infant sociometrics programme led by PI Associate Professor Victoria Leong. This interdisciplinary research programme will develop lab-based and portable scalable tools – including dyadic-EEG, eye-tracking, motion-tracking, speech and video analytics - for the measurement of the effects of social interaction on infants’ developing cognition and executive function. You will join a dynamic and friendly international consortium as part of the Baby-LINC lab in Singapore and in Cambridge (UK). You will also have ample opportunities to interact with the wider Wellcome Trust LEAP network whose partners include Harvard, Yale, Stanford and other Universities across global sites in Boston, New Zealand, Sao Paolo, Singapore, Malawi and more.
Job Responsibilities
Assist the PI with day-to-day management of the LEAP sociometrics project, working in close coordination with co-PIs A/Prof Domenico Campolo (School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering), Prof Juan-Pablo Ortega (School of Mathematical & Physical Sciences), and industry collaborator Neeuro
Help to oversee a diverse and talented research team of 8-10 staff (comprising postdoctoral fellows, research assistants, and engineers)
Assist with supervision of over 12 graduate and undergraduate research students affiliated with the project
Contribute towards data collection efforts primarily in Singapore, involving over 200 parent-infant dyads
Expected to lead data analysis in one or more of the core sociometrics domains (dyadic EEG+ECG, eye-tracking, motion tracking, speech analysis, synchrony analysis, social interaction analysis), working closely with the computational modelling team on deep phenotyping and EF prediction
Contribute administrative oversight to ensure timely scientific and financial reporting to the funder, keep accurate records of project activities, deliverables and milestones, and provide pro-active and effective troubleshooting for any problems that arise
May be expected to work closely with the funder on data sharing and management activities, to ensure compliance with University data management policies, ethics and other governance matters
Job Requirements
Essential
PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Sciences or related Technical and Computational fields
Strong technical and analytical skills, as demonstrated in relevant research publications
