Research Fellow (Electrical/Civil/Mechanical Engineering)

The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERIAN) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 

• Expert knowledge of acoustic agglomeration, building air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation, indoor and outdoor aerosol dynamics, indoor air quality, heat transfer, heat gain, energy modelling and simulation. 
• Industry or research lab experience is required.
• Ability to develop system design, quantitative evaluation of energy systems, develop test setup, performance evaluation.   
• Knowledge in industrial sensors, and control hardware, air quality sensors, heat gain measurements.
• Candidate will be required to establish test bed in and outside the campus buildings, benchmarking of current building energy performances using database, quantitative evaluation, etc.

Job Requirements: 

• PhD degree in electrical/civil/mechanical engineering or other related fields
• Experience of energy modelling and simulation, test bed setup, system performance evaluation, indoor and outdoor aerosol dynamics, indoor air quality, acoustic agglomeration.
• Knowledge in industrial protocols, sensors, and control hardware
• Knowledge of software like MATLAB, Python, Machine learning
• Knowledge in industrial waste heat, services and cooling industry will be a plus
• Strong analytical and conceptual abilities. Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
