The School of Materials Science & Engineering (MSE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Propose and identify new self-assembly-derived synthesis approaches to generate efficient and stable nanostructured metal-based catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction.

  • Design, conduct and analyze data generated from scientifically based electrochemical experiments (e.g. but not limited to cyclic voltammetry, linear sweep voltammetry, etc.) to determine functional device properties and performances. 

  • Perform synthesis of block copolymers via living polymerization techniques and additives by sol-gel/solution chemistry. 

Job Requirements: 

  • Possess a PhD degree in Materials Science, Electrochemistry, Polymer Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or any relevant science and engineering disciplines

  • Excellent and relevant publication records

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-motivated independent scientist and a team player
