Our lab in the new Clinical Sciences Building, located in the heart of Singapore, is developing high-throughput platform technologies specifically for stem cell research.
There are different projects relating to MSCs namely in the field of bone and cartilage, and brown adipose tissue. These projects involve interdisciplinary research carried out in collaboration with government organisations and/or industrial partners. The successful candidate will have experience in cell-based assays, characterisation with molecular biological, and target-based drug discovery expertise.
Job responsibilities:
To conduct molecular biology experimental procedures including DNA/RNA extraction, gene expression and RT-PCR, cell culture, tissue collection, cryosectioning and immunostaining
Prepare and carry out experiments with MSCs
Present experiment plans regarding target identification and validation
Perform flow cytometry analysis and sorting
Ability to operate confocal microscopy and others
Perform laboratory administrative functions including procurement of laboratory inventories, replenishment of consumable materials and laboratory safety
Coordinate laboratory meetings and seminars
